Cosmic Crit’s Starfinder Drink Challenge!
It’s that time again, time for another First Friday Fan Challenge!
On the first Friday of every month, we are asking you to help us build and shape our Starfinder world. Last month, we asked you suggest names for our very first ship! We had a mountain of amazing suggestions. Around 200! We can’t wait for cast off in our newly named ship in an episode dropping in just a couple weeks!
The First Friday Fan Submission Challenge for December may require some prior testing on your part before you submit, but it should be a guaranteed good time regardless! Now allow our favorite android, ANDIS-147, tell you about this month’s challenge.
Create Starfinder-Themed Drinks:
As you know, the Fusion Queen is now under new management! Rami and Andis have been hard at work remodeling the old spot into a hip new swanky dining and imbibing joint. Gnak, with the best culture checks he can muster, has completely redesigned the interior aesthetic with state of the art vinyl seating, 90% more velour, and railings everywhere for a tasteful yet safety-conscious look (Rami’s note: But not too safe! We’re also hip and edgy! Punch it up!). Alyndra has completely revamped the coat checking system which how operates with 3% more efficiency (Rami’s note: Absolutely not). And Edrass has installed cheek pouch scanning technology which will reduce security concerns raised during a recent scheduled testing of the bar’s security protocols. No, there’s no place safer or more stylish than the new Fission Monarch (Rami’s note: Name pending, Andis! Rami’s Wreck Room 4 Lyfe).
BUT THERE’S A PROBLEM! We don’t have any original cocktail recipes! That’s where you come in! (Rami’s note: And whose fault is that?) During the month of December, we’re accepting submissions for innovative and hopefully tasty cocktails and mocktails to serve at our new bar. Now, we don’t want any of that dusty 21st century stuff like “screwdrivers” and “the julep of mints.” Oh no! We’re asking for brand spanking new Starfinder themed drinks! That being said, your drink submission can absolutely be remixes or spins of some old classics, provided that you spruce them up a bit and slap a shiny new space name on them!
At the end of December, we will be selecting our favorites and they will be added to the drink menu at the hippest, the newest and maybe not the hippest, but definitely the newest joint on Absalom Station (Rami’s note: What? This is nonsense.). In addition, we will be choosing 6 cocktails which we’ll make, consume, and discuss on the show! So name’em catchy and make’em tasty!
We’re going to be doing the submissions a little bit differently this time. To enter your cocktail, we’d like for you to tweet your submission with the hashtag #CosmicCrit. But within those 280 characters, the sky is the limit! Show us what you got! We’ll be accepting submissions all month.
Can’t wait to hear what you come up with!
(Rami’s note: Looks good, buddy. Just take a look at a few of my notes and we should be good to go.)
(Andis: When you said “take a look at a few of my notes,” did you mean “publish?” Because if not…oopsie!)
Guidelines for Submitting:
- By submitting to this challenge, you give us the right to use your submitted name on Cosmic Crit.
- To receive a gift for your selected submission, you must have an active Paizo account and provide that to us after we use your submission on the show. Please include how you would like to be contacted and credited for your winning submission.
- You can submit multiple times, but if we use 5 of your submissions, you still only get a single gift.
- Please don’t submit anything offensive, inappropriate for a general audience or distasteful. Keep it PG-13.
Will you be asking for future submissions be sent in tweet format? That may limit me, as I don’t have a Twitter account.
Hi Jayson, we might try something different each month, as this is primary promotional in trying to get the word out about our show, but some larger submissions might require them being e-mailed in. We haven’t chosen our January fan submission challenge yet, but we will let you know in a couple of weeks how it will operate.
