Cosmic Crit’s “Critical Hit” Competition
Too long have the players of Cosmic Crit languished under the oppressive weight of the Critical Failure Deck that we made back in February 2018. It is time we bring the pain to the monsters and NPCs of the Cosmic Critterverse. To that end, we are asking our fans to help us create a compendium of Critical Hits that we can catalogue into our very own, “Critical Hit Deck!” So throw out your “JJJ #1” foam fingers, and get to writing those fails for our March Fan Challenge!
Entry Guidelines
We are looking for creative, yet balanced, Critical Hit cards that give our combats a cinematic and unique flair. Your Critical Hit should follow the same format as the official Critical Hits from Paizo — and don’t forget to add a damage type to your Extreme Blow!
An example of what we are looking for has been re-created below:
– Energy Damage-
Name: Power Drain
Bonus Effect: Any energy attacks the target makes in the next 1d2 turns are underpowered, and take a -2 to hit and -2 to damage
-Kinetic Damage-
Name: Loose Marbles
Bonus Effect: The target is beaten about the head, and is off-target for 1d4 rounds
-Spell Damage-
Name: Summoned Ally
Bonus Effect: You gain the benefits of Summon Creature 1 on your next turn picking a random creature to aid you.
-Extreme Blow: Electric-
Name: Jolted Stance
Bonus Effect: The target gets a surge of juice down their spine and is staggered for 1 round.
Please keep each section of your card submission to around 175 characters or shorter.
This Challenge is all about adding your own unique stamp to the combat in Cosmic Crit. How will your Critical Hit change the face of the battlefield?

Prizes
The Crew will vote on their top 3 favorite Critical Hits. Each winner will get their choice of receiving either $15 Paizo Store Credit or $20 in Cosmic Crit Store Credit.
Guidelines for Submitting
- By submitting to this challenge, you give us the right to use your submitted work/piece on Cosmic Crit and distribute it for free. We will also need to edit and balance these in relation to other entries.
- Send your submissions to our email: cosmiccrit@gmail.com
- Please include how you would like to be contacted and credited for your winning submission.
- To receive a gift for your selected submission, you must have an active Paizo account and provide that to us after we use your submission on the show.
- You can submit multiple times, but if we use 10 of your submissions, you still only get a single gift.
- Please don’t submit anything offensive, inappropriate for a general audience or distasteful. Keep it PG-13.
