Cosmic Crit’s “Eoxian Reality TV Show” Challenge

Greetings, fellow undead of the Corpse Fleet. As we continue to demonstrate our superiority over those who cling to false life, don’t forget to sit back and relax every once in a while by tuning into Eoxian Reality TV, provided to you free of charge. It’s one of the many perks provided to you, the operators of the greatest naval fleet in the pact worlds.

But we have a challenge for all those listening. Following the dramatic conclusion of The Choice, a new prime time slot has become available in the Eoxian Reality TV lineup. We need your help selecting a new break out mega-hit show to fill that ghoulish void. This is what the April Fan Challenge is all about.

Pitch Your Eoxian Reality TV Show Idea

With the infosphere being a part of nearly every pact world dweller’s everyday life, there is a limitless amount of entertainment to be consumed. Of course, the crown jewel of entertainment for intrigue and the grotesque comes from ERTV.

Your challenge is this. Develop a show worthy of being broadcast all across Eox and the Pact Worlds. However, Eoxians have a very particular sensibility regarding their entertainment; only the truly creatively macabre shows make it onto the vidscreens of Eox. What horrific scenes can you envision to keep fans glued to their screens in horror and suspense from Absalom Station to the Vast?

Entry Guidelines

Send an email to cosmiccrit@gmail.com with your submission before April 30, 2018, and include the following in your entry:

Name That Show – Every show must have a name. The name is what entices people to watch and brings in more and more views. Your show’s name should not only be catchy but also give a hint as to what kind of content the potential viewer can expect.

Summary of the Show – Describe the bloody meat and twisted bones of what your show is all about. Does your show have a host? If so, what’s their name? How does your show function? Is it a family Eoxian show or maybe more of a late night broadcast? Whatever you decided, the creepier and weirder, the better.

Give Us Your Best Pitch (Optional) – Getting a show on Eoxian TV is cutthroat business. Shows on Eox are already dead but that doesn’t mean executives will hesitate to cut the “life” from your show if you don’t get enough viewers. If you’re feeling up to an additional challenge, then give us a deadly stinger/commercial bit that can be played throughout the Pact to try to draw people in. If your stinger is good enough, you may even hear it played on the show. (This can be a script for a commercial, an audio recording of less than 30 seconds, a poster, or other promotional material.)

Name: The Butcherer

Summary: A single guy looking for blood is introduced to 25 unsuspecting contestants. Each week, he chooses who will stay and who will go — forever. Who will be able to convince him to hang up his blade and show mercy this season on The Butcherer?

Stinger/Commercial: This season on The Butcherer… Rokthar escaped the hands of The Butcherer before. And now he returns, wielding the knife himself. Don’t miss this week’s episode, when Rokthar takes his victims on a group date to the morgue. How many will stay there for good? The shocking ending will be the talk of Pact Space on Firstday! Catch The Butcherer on Fifthdays on B&G, your home for Eoxian Reality TV.

• By submitting to this challenge, you give us the right to use your submitted work/piece on Cosmic Crit and distribute it for free. We will also need to edit and balance these in relation to other entries.
• To receive a gift for your selected submission, you must have an active Paizo account and provide that  to us after we use your submission on the show. Please include how you would like to be contacted and credited for your winning submission. Submission can be sent to us via our gmail account, cosmiccrit@gmail.com.
• You can submit multiple times, but if we use 10 of your submissions, you still only get a single gift.
• Please don’t submit anything offensive, inappropriate for a general audience or distasteful. Keep it PG-13.
